After parking my newly-insured black Mercedez Benz, I immediately went inside the house. I switched on my computer and checked the latest news and the hottest cars today. My attention was caught by an article about car and its colors. According to the article, there's a
recent study conducted in a
University in New Zealand indicating that there may be a connection between car color and serious injuries as a result of car accidents.
The findings say that those people driving brown cars have the highest risk of sustaining car serious injuries. Also, black and green cars also have high risks. I also found out that drivers of silver cars have a 50% less chance of being involved in accident compared to drivers with white cars. I almost thanked the heavens when I read this because I have a silver car. However, scientists did not explain why there was such a difference in accident rates, although they cited two possible reasons. First, its possible that lighter colored cars are more visible. Second, maybe the people who choose such cars are a self-selecting group of safe drivers. Nevertheless, I still believe it still boils down to the kind of driver you are. If you are a
careful driver, you are at a lower risk of getting into an accident.
